On the 74 the red wire on the junction block comes from the battery lug on the starter then thru the glass fuse holder to the orange wire which feeds the blower. There are no splices in the orange wire from one side of fuse holder to the connector. It makes me think and looks like it was a factory setup. Maybe I have some creative wiring going on.
Should I wire all the large power draw stuff up first and then do small? What is the proper way to wire things to junction boxes and junction boxes to each other? It seems like no matter what complicated ass design I come up with or even basics that the junction boxes are always first to blow and it's really messing with my sub design.

It had to do with updating the wire sizes here and there I think. That may help with the gauge dropping. Also, you could wire up your headlights to run w/relays off the battery. That should help, but can't give a definite answer as I haven't completed mine yet. Yeh you could relocate or add a junction box/terminal strip for all your accessories.
