May be a dumb question but I have all ceiling registers and absolutely hate being under one and getting blasted with hot air. Right now I have curved registers with dampers but they don’t seem to disperse the air very well. Always a lot of hot and cold spots. I’m sure I’ll never get it perfect. I know low feeds is the correct way for heating but that’s not an option.
I have a 1 year old Fedders 3 and 1/2 ton C/U with a Bristol compressor, about 2 months ago it blew a small ceramic start capacitor, the part is no longer made and hard to find, my supplier suggested a KS-1 universal hard start kit instead. In the meantime I took the defective cap out of the system and the unit starts and runs perfectly. My supplier says the original cap . I noticed the following for my 2 A/C condenser units with disconnect boxes. In one of them the plug does come out, but seems to have a bit of deformity on its plastic, as if it had gotten soft at some point in time. I'm having AC added, and I noticed the HVAC company is planning on installing the AC unit next to the house on a plastic pad (about 2" thick) which will go directly over the dirt. After using a jumper to use test mode on the voyager RTUs, I saw multiple issues. First, you may accidently skip past the mode you want if you're not paying close enough attention. So, I made myself a nice box with resistors for all the test modes, plus a resistor to simulate a low .
